| 民國四十六年，創辦人(名譽博士) 鄭惠芝女士。本著培育民族幼苗、 己欲立而立人的宗旨於台北市信義路創辦了「立人幼稚園」，辦學活潑有特色、績效卓著，深獲社會各界好評。 民國五十四年，在家長的紛紛要求及社會賢達、教育先進的鼓勵之下，董事會將學校移至安和路現址，並依法申請立案成立了「台北市私立立人小學」。 民國八十七年，經政府核准升格成立國中部，立人優質的教育延伸到九年級， 完成幼小中三位一體，九年一貫課程的學校。 民國九十一年，迎接二十一世紀嶄新的 趨勢並配合國家教育政策，全校實施雙語教學，聘請外籍教師授課，經政府核准更名為「台北市私立立人國際國民中小學」，建構九年一貫之雙語課程。 從幼稚園至小學部及中學部，全校學生總人數約650人。培育優秀傑出的人才，成為全世界最卓越的學校，是立人創校至今始終堅持的教育目標與責任。 | Our founder, Dr. Hwei-Chih Cheng, opened her first school “Lih-Jen Preschool” in 1957, then located on Xin Yi Road in Taipei. In 1965, as enrollment and demand grew, the school was moved to its current address and Lih-Jen Elementary School was born. Further change occurred in 1998, as our school expanded to include the 9th grade. In 2002 we adopted a fully bilingual curriculum and the school changed its name to Lih-Jen International Private Elementary and Middle School. The Lih-Jen of today has come a long way from our founding. Although we retain the traditions and spirit of our school over time, the modern Lih-Jen is a contemporary and world-class educational institution. What sets Lih-Jen apart is our commitment to providing a technologically-advanced learning environment. Every classroom has an array of state-of-the art educational aids including: digital projectors and large plasma-screen televisions that are used to enhance the learning process. Our school also has a variety of specialized classrooms: a music hall, stage and theater production capabilities, science labs, computer labs, cooking classrooms, libraries, and an interactive technology class: all serving to better prepare our students for our rapidly changing, modern, and complex world. Lih-Jen International Private Elementary and Middle School accepts students for kindergarten right through to grade 9 with a current enrollment of approximately 650 students. |
